Report: Scaling Up STRENGTH: Adaptation in a Pandemic Context

We are pleased to share findings from the Scaling Up STRENGTH Study (March 2020 to May 2023). Please see our report on adapting and testing the STRENGTH model of outreach within a pandemic context in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) neighbourhood of Vancouver. This project is part of a pan-Canadian project that will focus on adapting and testing this outreach model in different contexts across the country.

Inside the Report

The STRENGTH project was built upon the expertise and leadership of women in community. The Inner-City Women’s Initiatives Society (ICWIS) was the lead community partner and together with women, they built a Community Advisory Committee to co-lead the project with Linda Dewar and Vicky Bungay. Our community partners included:

Inner-City Women’s Initiatives Society (ICWIS)
Rise Women’s Legal Centre
West Coast LEAF
University of Windsor
Nova Scotia Department of Community Services
GRID Networks Inc.
