Designing and testing a social connection program to support women’s mental health: Findings from a pilot study
This report describes findings from the “Social Engagement Project,” which was a two-year pilot study aimed to boost social connections and reduce isolation among women living in a resource-limited urban setting. Findings from data presented in this report are drawn from April 2022 to April 2024.

“How a Canada Research Chair’s community-led outreach model is impacting lives”
On December 6, 2023, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) ) and Canada Research Chairs (CRC) published a research story highlighting the work of Dr. Vicky Bungay in collaboration with community partner co-leads and other team members, both through the STRENGTH and Scaling Up projects, regarding the innovative community-led outreach model underpinning this work. Scaling Up STRENGTH: Adaptation in a Pandemic Context
This report describes findings from the Vancouver Hub of the Scaling Up Strengths-Based Outreach with Women Affected by Violence study. It specifically details the findings of adapting the STRENGTH model of outreach within a pandemic context including the onset of COVID-19 in March 2020, through May 2023.
