Capacity is hiring a Research Associate for a twelve-month position. Working directly with Dr. Vicky Bungay, Director of the Capacity Research Centre, the Research Associate will assume a leadership role in the recently funded project “Understanding and Enhancing System-Level Drivers of Community Services with Women Experiencing Gender-based Violence in British Columbia.” The key objectives of the project are to: understand the political and economic regulatory factors that reproduce, enhance or reduce the community service organizations’ (CSOs) leadership capacity in GBV advocacy and service provision; generate new knowledge about CSOs experiences navigating regulatory structures, and translate results into policy and programming recommendations. The Research Associate will also take on a key role in the completion of a community-partnered research project situated in northern BC.
