Capacity Welcomes New Team Members to National Partnership Project

Capacity Research Unit is delighted to welcome Alex Werier and Natasha Kim to the team for our national partnership project, “Scaling Up Trauma and Violence Informed Outreach with Women Affected by Violence”.

Alex (she/her) joins our team as the Research Assistant and will be working closely with our multi-disciplinary team to support and advance the research and data management activities of our multi-site project. Alex has previous experience working as a research assistant, and has focused much of her past work on systems of gendered oppression. She is very excited to apply herself to a project that focuses on community-based research, and that strives to truly involve and support women in every step of the process.

Natasha (she/her) joins us as the Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator. She will be developing and coordinating a knowledge mobilization strategy for the project that will engage and inform our partners and community members. Natasha has previous experience in public policy and communications, with a focus on Indigenous Title and Rights issues and gender-based violence. She is grateful to contribute to a project that is empowered and led by women with lived experiences of violence and marginalization.

We welcome our new team members and look forward to building upon the tremendous learning and growth that has occurred over the past few months as we move forward with the next steps of the Scaling Up project at our four sites in Windsor, Halifax, Kelowna, and Vancouver.
